Fürstenfeld

Presumably the most famous song of the austrian band S.T.S. (published in 1984) is inextricably linked with this city in the thermal region – Fürstenfeld. And not without reason: Some prefer the city of Fürstenfeld well over the captial Vienna (like in the lyrics).

The city with its mediterranean flair is located in the far east of Styria, next to the border to Burgenland and is therefore literally a „hotspot“, because you’ll find numerous thermal baths with their healing warm water around Fürstenfeld. Not less than six thermal baths are within the area and the thermal baths of Loipersdorf, Bad Blumau or Bad Waltersdorf are well known and very popular even beyond the Styrian borders.

In the city of Fürstenfeld itself, water is omnipresent. You’ll find a lot of fountains within the city, the river Feistritz runs through the city and of course Europe’s largest outdoor pool (nice to see in this 360° aerial panorama) is located here.

Cultural sights like the Pfeilburg, cozy cafes, restaurants and wine taverns (Buschenschank) are rounding off the culinary offers of the city.
